Broadband
Awards - presented by ATUG ATUG has been at the forefront of the debate in Australia about broadband since 2001. Our interest is making sure broadband is available everywhere at affordable prices so users can experience firsthand the changes broadband makes possible. In 2007 we began the search for Australia’s Leaders in the Effective Use of Broadband using our network of members, associations, industry, government and many contacts from our successful ATUG Regional Communications Roadshow. We presented awards to people really making a difference with broadband in health, security, agri-business and community life. ATUG’s national search begins once again with the launch of the 2010 Broadband Awards. We will be looking in all states, with the support of our state based branches and Convenors. We will be working with Government to find broadband champions across Australia. We will be working with industry and industry associations to find the best examples of broadband making a difference. ATUG will be encouraging users of broadband from business - small and large, government and community to tell their story of the benefits broadband has brought to business and everyday life. Submission close February 12th. The winners of the Broadband Awards for 2010 will be announced at ATUG’s 2010 Gala Awards Networking Function on March 11th.
