22nd ATUG Awards - CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
The ATUG 2007 Awards recognise the outstanding performance and contributions made by individual and companies in the dynamic communications sector. The purpose of the Awards is to promote innovation and the development of world class or world best practice in communications products, services and solutions for end users.

How you can benefit by nominating for an ATUG Award
This is an excellent opportunity to promote yourself, your team, your organisation, or your state, and to raise the profile of communications. The ATUG Awards provides all winners with a high level of exposure and recognition by Government, customers, industry peers, media and the public about your achievement.

The winners are announced at the ATUG 2007 Gala Dinner held in conjunction with the ATUG 2007 Conference on the 7-8 March 2007. This is Australia’s major telecommunications sector conference event.

Criteria for Award Nominations

General
These guidelines are as broad as possible to give nominees the opportunity to present those aspects of their achievements which they believe set them apart in the Communications sector. All submissions (except those for Personal achievement awards) must:

• Give a short profile of the nominated company or organisation, including data such as foundation date and important historical milestones; and
• Demonstrate that the nominated services are viable, innovative and sustainable and appropriate to the award category
• Contact information for those who may clarify or give additional data. The name and contact details of two referees.

Charles Todd Medal (Communicator of the Year)
This Award recognises the person whom ATUG considers has made the most significant contribution by
• promoting telecommunications as an essential element in national industry growth
• enabling of healthy competition, and
• raising awareness of end users of the value of world best practice communications

Criteria include:
• Level of Achievement Attained
• Contribution to the Telecommunications Industry
• Demonstrated Leadership Skills
• Contribution to the End Users

Innovations in Communications
This award recognises product and service developers who have delivered a service or product that has contributed to the development of the communications industry and to the business sector in Australia. A service or product nominated should have had a successful pilot trial or been successfully in use for at least three months.

Criteria include:
• Benefits to End Users
• Effectiveness of Solution
• Innovation
• User Acceptance and Support

Excellence in Communications Management
This award recognises the efforts of Communications Managers, drawing attention to examples of meritorious performance, management excellence and innovation, and identifying best practices.

Criteria include:
• Demonstrated Leadership
• Application or Development of Best Practice Solutions
• Innovativeness
• Quality of Customer Service
• User Acceptance and Support

Best Communications Solution - Large Business
Nominees for this award must demonstrate how they have provided a communications solution to a large business, which has efficiently and cost effectively contributed to the successful operation of that business. The submission should also indicate the scope and time to establish the solution and the extent of ongoing service levels offered. Solutions nominated should have been operating successfully for a minimum of twelve months.

Criteria include:
• Benefits to Users and Effectiveness of Solution
• Innovation
• Performance and Reliability
• User Feedback

Best Communications Solution - Large Business Award nominations are accepted online please Click Here

Best Communications Solution – Regional Business
Nominees for this award must demonstrate how they have provided a communications solution to a business in a regional area, which has efficiently and cost effectively contributed to the successful operation of that business. The submission should also indicate the scope and time to establish the solution and the extent of ongoing service levels offered. Solutions nominated should have been operating successfully for not less than twelve months.

Criteria include:
• Benefits to Users and Effectiveness of Solution
• Innovation
• Performance and Reliability
• User Feedback

Best Communications Solution - Small Business

Nominees for this award must demonstrate how they have provided a communications solution to a small business, which has efficiently and cost effectively contributed to the successful operation of that business. The submission should also indicate the scope and time to establish the solution and the extent of ongoing service levels offered. Solutions nominated should have been operating successfully for not less than twelve months.

Criteria include:
• Benefits to Users and Effectiveness of Solution
• Innovation and Complexity
• Performance and Reliability
• User Feedback

Carrier of the Year
This award recognises a Carrier that has made a significant contribution to Australian business telecommunications users. Nominees should demonstrate how they have provided cost effective and efficient services to the Australian business community.

• Quality of Customer Service and Implementation Management

• Performance and Reliability
• Billing and Service Levels
• Customer Support
• User Feedback

This award recognises a person considered to have made a substantial contribution to communications journalism by bringing to the industry, the public and Government, accurate and timely reporting of communications issues.

Effective Use of Broadband
