ATUG’S 26th Annual Conference, ATUG 2010, will be held in Sydney at the Australian Technology Park, on 12 March 2010. 2010 promises to be a big year for communications users with decisions around the National Broadband Network, progress on ATUG’s Roam Fair Campaign, stronger 3G competition driving better mobile voice and broadband prices, developments in the Digital Economy. ATUG 2010 on the 12th March 2010 will start the year with an update from the politicians, policy makers, finance, market and technology experts and industry regulators on the issues that they will be dealing with in 2010 and the impacts end users need to consider. The Secretary of the Department, the ACCC’s Chairman, NBN Co CEO will all provide an overview for 2010. Ernie Newman, CEO of TUANZ will address the conference on New Zealand’s plans for fibre and experiences with their new approach to regulation. Speakers from industry will cover IP Technology trends, Mobile Trends and Market trends. There will be an overview of the financial markets as they affect the telco sector and the impact of telco decisions on investment and an update for end users on price and contract benchmark indicators for 2010. The ATUG 2010 Gala Awards Networking Function held on 11th March, 2010 will see the awarding of ATUG’s Annual Broadband Awards and Excellence Awards.
